Founder of Bridgwater Physiotherapy Clinic

Introducing Thanh Ong, Founder and Senior Physiotherapist at Bridgwater Physiotherapy.
A graduate of the University of Manitoba, Thanh Ong earned his Bachelor’s degree in Medical Rehabilitation of Physiotherapy in 2001. With a vision to offer dedicated and specialized physiotherapy services in Winnipeg, Thanh founded Bridgwater Physiotherapy in Winnipeg’s Bridgwater neighbourhood in 2014. Recognizing the need for more accessible services, he relocated the practice to a modern facility at 70-1580 Taylor Avenue in River Heights in 2017.
Over his twenty years of professional practice, Thanh has cultivated a rich experience base, beginning with notable roles in several hospitals where he delivered both inpatient and outpatient care. At Victoria General Hospital, he was significant in post-operative care, helping patients safely transition back home. His expertise was particularly valued in rehabilitation for total hip and knee replacement patients, where he also led instructional recovery classes.
Thanh’s years of experience also include a significant stint at the Pan Am Clinic from 2013 to 2014, where he worked closely with Orthopaedic Surgeons and Pain Clinic Physicians. During this period, he specialized in the rehabilitation of complex cases such as ACL injuries, post-operative shoulder conditions, and sports-related injuries, developing a deep skill set in sports medicine.
Passionate about empowering individuals, Thanh has a special interest in helping “weekend warriors” and high-performance athletes return to their best form and aiding those injured in work-related incidents, traffic accidents, or daily activities. His approach is personalized, focusing on maximizing functional capacity and enhancing the quality of life through expertly guided physiotherapy.
