What Do People Ask?
Most Popular Questions
Our patients ask many questions regarding our physiotherapy services in Winnipeg. We are sharing those questions along with their corresponding answers with you.
The payment for private physiotherapy sessions is contingent on your workplace insurance plan. Employee healthcare benefit plans typically cover services offered at private physiotherapy clinics. Individuals without third-party coverage or those whose insurance has expired have the option to receive services at a private physiotherapy clinic and pay for the treatment independently.
While a referral is not necessary, we welcome referrals and communication with your primary care physician to ensure comprehensive care coordination.
Certainly, you have the right to refuse to proceed with the examination or treatment at any stage of your assessment or subsequent appointments. If you encounter any difficulty in comprehending any aspect of the assessment or the treatments being administered, or if you experience pain or discomfort, please inform your physiotherapist.
Please bring your physiotherapy prescription and a completed set of paperwork, along with your Blue Cross insurance card if applicable. In most instances, health insurance will cover the cost of your treatment. If you are covered under the Workers Compensation Board (WCB), be sure to bring your claim number and your case manager's contact information. For those covered by Manitoba Public Insurance, make sure to provide the Bodily Claim Nimber to our clinic.
Opt for loose-fitting clothing to facilitate easy movement of your joints and entire body during the examination by our physiotherapists. This aids in conducting a thorough assessment. Ensure that the area to be evaluated and treated can be easily exposed. For instance, if you have a knee issue, wearing shorts is recommended. For shoulder problems, a sleeveless tank top is suitable, and for low back issues, choose a loose-fitting shirt and shorts.
